Ken and Mary Lou Engle in the Philippines

Ken Engle had flown over the Philippines in a B-24 Liberator during World War II, and he wanted to return there on a more peaceful mission. After studying at Moody Bible Institute, where he also worked in radio at WMBI, he joined Cyril and Rose Brooks in Manila in 1951. Mary Lou Leonard followed, and they were married in San Juan. For the next 24 years they served the Lord in the Philippines.

Cyril Brooks tells of their work in his autobiography, Grace Triumphant (chapter 22, in this library). The full family story is told in the series Lord, Give Us This Mountain. Both buttons above open in a new window.
